About Amari:

“My name is Amari Randall, and I am the President and CEO of IRAMARKS, a custom duck tape pen business. The name of my company integrates who I am and what I do. My first name, Amari, is spelled backwards in my business name just like Oprah did with Harpo. I also added “marks” on the end because that’s what pens do!

I initially started making duck tape pens and pencils with my friends as a hobby. Their interest gradually faded, but I kept going. Then I thought to myself, “I can sell these!” And the rest is history! I sold my first pen in April of 2013, and I have sold over 150 pens since!

I love being a business owner because it allows me to make, spend, and save money. Most important, I can use money to help others. In my first social entrepreneur project, I gave 50% of my earnings during the 2013 Christmas season to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital. I look forward to making more, so I can give more!

The foundational scripture of my company is Habakkuk 2:2, in which God instructed Habakkuk to “write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” I pray that all of my customers will use my pens to write out their goals and dreams because a goal that is not on paper is not going to happen. I also hope that my pens will serve as a constant reminder to my customers of the dreams and goals that lie in their hearts that need to be realized.”
